yes that is true that we need position and job details before looking out usin AC-21. I am in same boat, I have I-140 copy but nothing related to labor. I think I am stuck for next 3-4 years with current employer.

My wife was on H4 earlier and then she coverted her visa into F1 (student). She got I 20 form from school with her, But She doesn't have F1 stamp on her Indian Passport. She got 2 hour halt in Paris.

SS tax has a cut off after a certain income level. The current SS is supporting the baby boomers and it is projected that in its current state by 2017 the current SS deductions will be less that the outflow. SS is marching towards a disaster.
PF is put in our own account, you get back what you put in along with interest. My company in india used to give a 100% deduction match, most s/w companies do the same. The amount that is put in PF will never go down as the interest rates are set by the government (inflation is a different story). IMO it is much better than social security.
There is no totalization agreement between US and India, its one of the reasons we will never see our SS contributions unless we work for 10 odd years or get that damn GC. This law is for employees from indian companies who used to come to work on short term projects.

No one is saying this is what is going to happen 100%. It is all educated guess with whatever data in hand as of today.

One of my friends got B1 Visa(business visa, it�s valid for 10 years) through a company AAA in January 2008, still he is working for the same company in India, till now he didn't use his B1.
He applied H1-B through a company BBB, recently he received all his H1-B documents, his H1-B company suggested him to come to U.S on B1 and they want to file an amendment to change his status to H1 after coming to US.
My friend want to resign the company in this month and he want to go for training after resigning his job, it will take 2 months for completing the training.
He is planning to come to U.S in February 2009 on B1.
Could any one please help us with your valuable suggestions for the following questions?
Is it possible to come to U.S on B1 even after resigning the job?
Is there any possibility that the company revoke his B1?
What are the documents required to come to U.S on B1?

I would strongly advise not to do this...
This can create problems at multiple levels:
- If at port of entry, he fails to explain his reason to visit; and CBP officer finds out that he intends to work; there can be 3 or 10 year bar for entering US what so ever.
- If he enters on B1 visa and files for change of status to H1 soon after entering; this is very likely to be denied and he will be deported for misrepresentation
- If he does get change of status to H1B; he will have trouble getting it stamped in future at a consulate in india (on the same grounds: initial entery on B1 was fraudulant).
- If he does not have any of the above issues; this will hunt him down during GC processing; and his GC will be denied on the same grounds.

Thanks..I am saying or implying that they broke a Law..I am not an expert in law.. I was just intrigued by what is written on the homepage ""It is discriminatory to have laws that subject immigrants from 4 nations to more backlogs and the resulting hardship from such backlogs."
So from all the replies , it looks like Money is the main issue ( and off course effort & commitment ).

DialogAddTo.RestoreDirectory = true;
added that line before .showDialog() and it fixed the problem...

Situation :
My 485, 765, 131 applications reached USCIS on Aug 17th.
Soon after that moved to a different apartment in the same city. Updated US Post office for redirection of my mails to the new address. However, the address in the USCIS has not been updated.
on Oct 10th got the checks cashed for 485, 765 and 131
The address was updated in USCIS only yesterday (Oct 24).
I haven't got the reciepts yet and need to visit India on Nov 4th.
My questions:
1. Not sure if USCIS has already sent the reciept notices to my previous address. If they were sent to previous address will they be redirected to the new address or they will be returned back to USCIS?
2. Some one mentioned that mails from USCIS will not be redirected but will be returned back to USCIS. Is this true?
3. Approx. how much time it takes to recieve the reciept notice once the checks are encashed? for me it is already 15days over and haven't recieved the reciept notice at my new address.

If the ASC does not have much applicants waiting for services then they may service your case regardless of the time scheduled. Just make a visit and try.

I wasn't filing for an extension but rather a transfer of my H1B. It expired while waiting for the transfer. Do you think that might make a difference....negatively?
My case is some what similar. My h1b extension packet was returned for lack of filing fee but before we could re-apply my old h1b expired. We applied however but USCIS approved h1B petition and didn't grant me h1b status i.e didn't issue I-94. I am required to leave the country for stamping.
Now we are filing nunc-pro-tunc petition essential pleading with USCIS it was no fault of my mine. You can do gooogle on this.
