Hi Everybody!!
I am new at this site and I have a question!!
My lawyer submitted the ETA 9089 on Dec. 2007 , we've been checking the case # A-XXXXX-XXXXX and the only thing that shows is: PROCESSING...
Isnt supposed to be 30 days??
My situation is really bad because right now my driver license expired and I cant renew without an Immigration Case Number, but my process stil on DOL as "processing"
Any suggestion or Comments??

No replies. So dropping idea of getting Business Credit Cards - perhaps it is not important at this stage.
Yes, I did get a business checkin card. Credit card, I guess, I can get only when the EIN number develops some history. Do you already have a business checking card?

I am on US since Apr 2003 on L1B and it expires on Jan 25 2008
Last week my employer applied for L1A and it got approved. Approval notice says the new L1A visa is valid from Jan 26 2008 to Jan 26 2010(2 years)
I am planning to travel to india on vacation at dec 2007 and come back to US on Jan 1 2008
1) If I travel back to US on Jan 1 2008 without stamping L1A on passport, will the port of entry officer give I94 till Jan 26 2010 if I show the approved L1A I797 petition?
2) If I stamp L1A from India, when stamping the new L1A, I assume they will cancel my current L1B and stamp L1A which is valid only from Jan 26 2008. Am I correct? Then I will not be able to travel on Jan 1st 2008 since I dont have a valid visa stamped on passport at that time!
What to do ....Please help!

I am currently working on my H1 for comapany A. They have filed my Labor on Dec-06 in EB-3. I have an approved I-140 and I-485 is currently pending.
I have got an offer from company B. They want me to switch on EAD and they said they will also file my H1 and i can then move back on H1.
My question is if i switch the company on EAD, can i switch back to H1B in new (Company C) or same company (Company B) and if so can i then swtich to EB-2 by filing new Labor and 140 using the same priority date.

Hello,
I was wondering how long it took for everyone's check to be cashed once their packages were received at the TX service center? I'm worried because from what I read before the check cashing was almost immediate, while getting a receipt actually took longer. My package was received and signed for by Michael Salcedo on November 13th, but the check still hasn't cashed and I do not have a receipt. My husband and I are planning on travelling to Canada for Christmas, will crossing the border be a problem? Any advice anyone can give would be great! Thanks in advance!

the quick answers. Draw your shapes in the extrusion editor with the pencil tool. Outside shape of the hex nut and inside shape. If you get the shape you want, it will be a nice hex nut when you return to scene editor.
The right answer: Draw in illustrator and save your self the headache of drawing to draw anything outside of simple primitives in swift.
The even better answer. Any other true modeling program will provide better results. (from 3d paint, 3ds, maya, etc..)

Maybe the 60 Minutes story from a few months ago is making a difference. DHS finally agreed today to show some humanity and not proceed for two year with deporting widows and widowers of US citizens (often American soldiers who die in combat) who only were denied green cards because their spouses died before USCIS could finish processing their cases. The courts have not been consistent in their rulings and it is going to take the US Supreme Court settling the matter (or DHS backing down). Hopefully, this marks the end of USCIS' rabid pursuit of a population that deserves...

One of my friend's I-485 with priority date of Jan 2006 got approved yesterday. They have posted the documents to USCIS for his wife early this month(as per his attorney) to link to his I-485, but the check was not cashed yet and receipt notice was not issued for his wife.
Will there be any issue in this regard? What will be the options for him just in case if the attorney has not sent the documents to USCIS for his wife or the documents get rejected for some reason? Any help/advice in this regard is really appreciated. Thanks.

I recently graduated and got a job. I am currently working on OPT and the application for my H1 has been filed. I am looking at applying to some graduate schools for their online programs for working professionals. If I apply for these programs right now will my OPT be void?If my F1 changes to an H1 in October will I still be able to apply for the program without any issues?

My I 485 is pending since filing in July 2007 (Receipt Date SEPT2007) Priority date in FEB2006 (EB2). I was wondering if I can change employer. I do work for client but sponsor/employer is keep on exploiting my situation, with same employer for almost 10 years now. I am really fade up. My Friend is having business and if client for whom I have been working with through my employer, ready to get new contract with Friend, then Can I change employer ? In fact relative owns business in Laundry. Is it possible , if client ready to sign contract with relative?In that case my end job is same but since through an employer who would be having different business, do not know whether it is a good idea or not ? If yes, what are limitation and demerits, time involved. Please advise.
